I live just 35 miles from Brighton and the area from Brighton to Dover is marked by miles of chalk cliffs. Particularly from November to February, when the sun is low in the sky, rising and setting towards the South, are these cliffs photogenic.

From March to October the Sun is too harsh during the day and too far North at sunrise and set to really get decent light on them, as my White Cliffs of Dover images show. There's always another time...

The UK's National Trust has many properties, some with houses/stately homes or castles, but others just being scenic open land. Many properties are only open on certain days of the week and charge an entry fee.
